Kimberley Lichty

Hello, I'm Kimberley Lichty, aka "Sassy Artist Kimberley". 

I am so excited you are here.

Introduced into visual arts as early as five years of age. My mother, Janet Hawk, an art teacher and instructor at the local Art League in Elkhart, IN insisted I “tag along” when she was teaching (daycare wasn’t much of an option in the early 70’s). 

“I remember mom taking me to the League, where I was placed at a table with a plethora of tools from all mediums, from paints, to clay, chalks, and charcoal, all waiting for me”. 

I spent a great number of years working with all variations of mediums. Creating with acrylic paints combined with mixed media elements is where my style lives in the arts today.

Working in mixed media, I marry acrylic paints, gaged wire, craft papers, jewelry charms, resin, and real instrument keys that are all repurposed into my works. 

My works are thoughtfully designed, and hand painted utilizing professional paints, boar hair brushes, pallet knives, sponges, and other tools of the trade onto professional grade, back stapled canvas.
